Message from AACPS Office of Special Education:

On Friday, Maryland lost the most fair, reasonable and supportive advocate for students, families and schools that Maryland has ever seen. The loss of Linda Carter-Ferrier will be felt by many for a long time. Those of us in AACPS who considered her a colleague and a member of the team for students will do whatever we can to ensure that her works are celebrated and that her legacy is not forgotten. Linda worked diligently to raise community awareness, to support students, families and schools. Most importantly she never lost sight of what was best for the individual student while maintaining awareness regarding the needs and concerns families and the tremendous efforts and commitment made by teachers and other school personnel.
